Andrée Lavoie graduated in 1990 from Université de Montréal, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy. Andree had the opportunity to follow the World Cup FIS alpine Circuit for over a decade and was Physiotherapist for the Canadian Alpine Ski team at the Nagano in 1998 and Torino in 2006 Olympic Winter games.

Andrée has special interests in Manual Therapy, Sports Injuries, ART and Core X active rehab. She completed her Certificate in Sports Therapy after graduation. Andrée believes in educating and focuses on core strengthening. She has great success with the Core X for different sports injuries.

Outside of the clinic, Andrée enjoys alpine and skate skiing, biking, traveling and other outdoor pursuits. In addition to English, Andree is fluent in French, and has learned German while working on the World Cup circuit.

Zoe Hunt

Registered Physiotherapist

Zoe graduated from Manchester School of Physiotherapy in 2005 and worked in the UK for six years before moving to Whistler in 2011.

During that time she gained extensive experience in Orthopedics and Musculoskeletal injuries, quickly understanding the benefits of beginning early, effective rehabilitation. Her Senior Physiotherapist role involved working with clients as early as the day of surgery following ACL repairs, joint replacements, spinal surgery, and joint reconstructions/fracture stabilization. She realized the value of educating and empowering clients in keeping them engaged from the early to late stages of their physiotherapy program. She developed an evidence based lower limb exercise class which was enthusiastically received by the Orthopaedic consultants and saw patients make excellent recovery from their injuries.

In other clinical practice, Zoe has worked in an inpatient stroke rehabilitation unit and in community neurology. She is familiar with treating conditions including Parkinson's, Stroke, MS, ALS, Multi-system atrophy and Lyme disease and enjoys the challenges of overcoming the complexities associated with treating long-term conditions. She also has experience in Acute Respiratory Medicine including Critical Care, and Women's Health including pre/post-natal, incontinence and pre/post gynecological surgery.

Zoe enjoys treating people of all ages and has experience in Pediatric Physiotherapy including developmental delay and neurological conditions in children.

She has recently become certified in the Functional Movement Screen (FMS), which she feels is a great tool to identify and minimize injury risk in an active population such as Whistler.

Outside of work, Zoe volunteered at Parkinson's Disease Society for many years. In 2010, she gained her Level 2 Ski Instructor qualification in Fernie, BC. On her return home she used these skills to volunteer with "Disability Snow Sports UK", and now enjoys teaching skiing part time here in Whistler.

Other interests include travel, hiking, climbing, camping, snowboarding, cooking, and being in the fresh air!

Registered Massage Therapists

Andrew Slater

Registered Massage Therapist

Andrew was born and raised in Ontario, where he was fortunate enough to learn how to ski - on a golf course in Richmond Hill. He loved to ski as a kid and when he got to try snowboarding it was clear that he had found his passion. All he needed to do was to move to the mountains.

As a Registered Massage Therapist, Andrew believes that “imparting valuable knowledge to someone in my care is as vital as the treatment I provide”. His aim is to help people achieve their optimal health and fitness, and to furnish his patients with knowledge that will enable them to enjoy optimum physical well-being.

Andrew is a 2006 graduate of the Massage Therapy Program from The Sutherland-Chan School in Toronto, Ontario. It was there that he learned the fundamentals of massage therapy and all the important theory such as anatomy, physiology, neurology, pathology, biomechanics and treatment protocols. In school Andrew specialized in sports massage, sport related injuries and injury prevention.

After graduating, Andrew spent six years in Toronto, where he had the opportunity to study manual muscle testing, methods in Applied Kinesiology, ‘Thought Field Therapy’ and Ericksonian Hypnosis. He now makes use of manual muscle testing and Applied Kinesiology challenges and protocols in his practice to help him provide comprehensive and effective treatment for a broad range of dysfunction, recognizing that local problems can have more global or systemic origins.

In his spare time, Andrew loves to play drums, listen to music, go biking, play baseball, dodgeball, and go swimming.
